So I started writing an existing WIP recently, and to make sure it flowed with the rest of it, I went back and re-read it from the start.

Is it conceited to say I really like my own story?

I'm hoping to start posting it again really soon, and to have it complete by the end of the year at the latest.

*fingers crossed*

If it's conceited to really like your own story, then I'm this walking mass of arrogance and high-mindedness.

Nothin' wrong with being proud of your work.

I agree - I know I've not written as much as some people, but some things I've written really make me feel all tingly...

I wish you would write more!

(I also kinda wish you could point me towards the pattern for those arm thingies I remember you knitting last year - I'd love to try that out.)

Which arm thingys... - If it's the normal fingerless gloves in blue then not a problem - if it's the red one's I'll have to write the pattern down....

You're gonna hate me - it's the red ones I'm thinking of.

Don't stress about it though!

I am very glad that you like your own work. Nothing wrong with that.

A character in a Salinger novel says that you should write the book you most want to read. I've always agreed with that. If you don't like it yourself, why would anyone else? And more important, why bother?

When I write I always tell myself that I'm writing for myself - and in all truth I am - but there are so many things that I read and cringe over that it just kinda surprised me that I liked this story quite in the way that I do.

I'm so happy to hear that you're writing again. I can only hope you work on the WIP I love...
