computer help... again
So, sis has a laptop (which I'm currently typing this entry on) and it's coming up with error messages saying it's failed genuine Windows validation. She got it second hand from an IT guy who may or may not have installed it illegally.

My question is this, is there a way to fix it? And an additional question, I have the back up disks from my old computer which, obviously, is a genuine copy. Can I use *those* to re-install Windows XP from scratch?

Can you tel I don't really know what the hell I'm talking about?

You can fix it, I think I still have the files somewhere but if you can bring it next weekend (and the spec is good enough) I can install windows 7 on it

You? are a star. Thank you so much sweetie! (Not sure if it'll handle it, but I'll bring it with me anyway!)
