the girl who used to dance on fire and brimstone

Niece is out of hospital as of yesterday - she's still teeny but she's put on some weight and is no longer jaundiced so that's got to be good.

I'm... not able to concentrate on any one thing right now (hence my failure to send back smhwpf's betas, I think they deserve my full attention Sam and I haven't been able to give them that over the last few days) I did manage to make animated icons over the weekend, mostly because although it's fun, it's also very time consuming and slightly mundane so it helped to keep my mind on one thing at a time. They're all from the SPN finale and are posted over at fandomsbitca.

And, mostly thanks to x5vale and iyalode I'm getting into the Dark Angel thing. To the extent that a song I had earmarked for a potential future Xander/Buffy vid has now taken on deep Max/Alec overtones. *shakes head* (vid bunny free to a good home...)

Today I shall be mostly taking a half day so that I can get myself caught up with things at home. Yes, it was a bank holiday weekend but I've been babysitting for most of it so my sink is full of dishes and my laundry basket is a little full... and that's before even getting into the missing meta essay, the missing betas, the missing stories for fic_variations (why is one of them insisting on being porny? Why dammit?), the missing graphics, the missing new site, the missing Sunday reports from Asylum...

Why do I always take on more things when I'm already working at maximum capacity?

SPN pre-series John drabble for fic_variations posted there and at fandomsbitca (See, spnnewsletter? I do make fan creations as well as gazing in awe at what others do...)

Forgot to eat. Beer looked good. It's been in the fridge since the weekend and was feeling unappreciated. I'm going to be hungover at work tomorrow... joy.

Anyways - I really, really, really crave feedback. Really. I kinda... don't trust my writing. I'd like to know what people think of my writing. Don't get me wrong, I love hearing "this is great!", but more than that I love the rare gift that _amy_star recently gave me of real constructive grammatical advice and criticism. Please, if I suck, tell me what you don't like and I'll second-guess/kow-tow to it. If I disagree (which is a possibility) I'll say so!.

Good grief I sound needy... Well, I kinda am.

I know a lot of you have me friended because of the sites (be it INAP, WKA, FX, BX, DX, Sineya, WX... ooops, did I let something slip there?!) and I know some of you comment on my own fic because you feel you should... but I would really like to know what you really think. Would my time be better spent working on my web skills or my writing skills?

Since I'm online, I'll do something more than worthwhile, something that might save a life.
