dammit

Okay, so today has been fairly productive in a non-website/fic/art type way - since I got the grass cut yesterday I can get out into the drying green without the fear that Bengal tigers have set up residence in the long grass which means I can hang the laundry up outside which means I can get more of it done. I'm almost caught up now - I may in fact by the end of today have a totally empty laundry hamper!

I also did a huge spring clean of my kitchen cupboards and rearranged them into a slightly more sensible way - of course that now means that I keep going to the wrong one now but I'll get used to it soon.

All in it's been a fairly productive day, so why the dammit I hear you cry? (well, okay maybe not, maybe you don't care, but I'm going to tell you anyway)

I've lost my MP3 player.

I actually haven't known where it is for a couple of weeks now but I wasn't too worried because I had the rough idea of where it was. However, it's not there. I've cleared out every single room in this house except the living room and it's nowhere. The worst thing is that I found the headphones (in my sock drawer of all places!) but no player.

Dammit!

To top it all, it's also a USB wand which I use to transfer files between my laptop and my PC (I'm not yet networked - saving up for WiFi) so the fic I worked on yesterday? On my laptop and the only way I can get it to my PC to be able to publish it on the web is by copying it to CD. And I used my last blank CD on Thursday.

Joy.
