- Rome was odd. I think it suffered a little from being a joint HBO and BBC production - one or the other would have worked but both just made it a little erratic. It was as if it was being written around ad breaks but trying not to be obvious about it so there wouldn't be glaring interruptions when it aired on the Beeb. I'm sticking with it though - even though the opening credits were the worst thing I've seen in a long time!
- I'm seriously falling behind on NaNo. Cannot seem to find the motivation to actually sit down and write just now which is proving a little annoying. Well, more than a little to be honest! Good thing is that I'm now starting to really get into the characters when I'm not actually writing - I can play scenes out in my head when I'm nowhere near a computer which I wasn't doing before now - but the actual writing it down? Not so much....
- I'm determined to be more positive about my life. Course we all know how long that's likely to last....
- We only had one single solitary entry for zeppo_stillness this week. One. That's it. So if you're an iconer but haven't felt like entering anything before, this could be the week for you! I've extended the deadline till the weekend in the hopes that we get more entries so there's loads of time!
- Meme lifted from a bunch of folks - I know I've seen it on naol, skarman and jgracio's journals so I'll credit them!
| You scored as Captain Jack Sparrow. Roguish,quick-witted, and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up being a hero, against his better judgement. Captain Jack looks out for #1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting out of it. Maybe its brains, maybe its genius, or maybe its just plain luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three. |
