Memes! 'Cause it's been a while...
Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
02- I will respond by asking you five questions.
03- You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
04- You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
05- When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
1) If you were given the chance to become a writer for a TV show, what would be the one 'issue' or 'theme' you would push for the show to deal with and how?
Family. And acceptance. There's a reason I love the shows I do and they all share a similar theme of familial acceptance. I don't mean the traditional family, I mean the people we choose to surround ourselves with. And as to the how? I don't know. Hence me working in a library and not running my own show... *g*
2) What is your favorite book in the whole wide world? Why?
1984. George Orwell. Not because it's a particularly great book - although arguably it is - but because it is evocative of the debates my dad would encourage. From pretty much the minute I could read more than the Peter & Susan books my dad would encourage me to read and talk about what I read with him. I was nine when I read Huxley's Brave New World. I had read most of H.G. Wells books by the time I was 13. When I started to read and discuss Orwell with my dad I just felt… like an adult. :)
3) You are told you're going to die in one week's time. What do you do? Do you spend the week panicking/denying/screaming/raging or do you decide to have some fun while you still can? And if you do decide to have fun, what would you do?
I cry for a little while, then I spend as much time doing all the things that scare the crap out of me as I can. And I don't tell anyone until the very end because I don't want to be pitied. I hate being pitied.
4) If you went on the TARDIS, where would you like to visit? Why?
1950s Italy. I have no idea why but the music of the era is just wonderful and Italian food… so we'll forget the misogyny and the post-war poverty and say 1950s Italy. *nods*
5) Multifandomic sex question! Cap'n Jack and Faith come swanning into your workplace, looking for a play partner. Are you a good girl or do you jump at the chance? *grins*
What do you think? I hate my job and would give anything to shake that place up a little. Of course I jump at the chance! With bells on!
So fire away, TV's getting good now though so gimme a few hours and I'll get back to you with your questions!
thedothatgirl tagged me for this so here goes!
List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your livejournal along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to.
Really don't know if I can get seven or not - but hey, I'm game!
1 - The Guillemots - Made Up Love Song # 43 (I love you through sparks and shining dragons I do...)
2 - Muse - Supermassive Black Hole (Oooooo, you set my soul alight... (supermassive black hole))
3 - Snow Patrol - Headlights on a Dark Road (For once I wanna be the car crash, not always just the traffic jam)
4 - Elvis Costello - Brilliant Mistake (I wish that I could push a button, and talk in the past and not the present tense)
5 - Kane - House Rules (Rule number seven says you can't touch the women, but they can grab whatever they want to)
6 - Franz Ferdinand - The Fallen (Some say you're trouble boy, just because you like to destroy, all the things that bring the idiots joy, well, what's wrong with a little destruction?)
7 - JJ72 - October Swimmer (Dreams, of dying mothers, I awake, my insides shudder)
Yeah, some of that is kinda morbid innit?
Heh - okay, tagging bastardsnow, jgracio, engelsteorra, emeraldswan, naol, 43100, dimlondeiel - you're it!
Saw this on emeraldswan's journal and couldn't resit giving it a go. The Almost Totally Random Pairing Generator has thrown up these pairings and situations - anyone up to writing any of them? I dare you. :)
