It was bound to happen wasn't it?
let's get it over with already, okay? You know how I've been saying lately that there are little snippets of fic appearing randomly for a potential BtVS/SPN crossover? Well... yeah It's not started yet, and I was up at 5am this morning just making that damn banner, but... yeah. (And the little AtS/SPN crossover that tried to bite me on the road this morning? *sigh* Might have to write that just to get it out of my head.) Anyways, Paths Crossed might or might not be shippy, I honestly don't know yet. About the only thing I can say for certain is that there will not be any 'Wincest' in here 'cause... to me that's just so wrong on so many levels. And it will not be started until November, 'cause otherwise that'd be cheating, and it'd mean everything else I'm writing would again be pushed aside which is clearly not on. The ideas that I originally had for this year's NaNoWriMo are way too depressing for me to get into right now, so it's not abandoned (because I still have that story to tell) but it's not going to be this year. Can you believe I'm planning out NaNoWriMo already? Man...

I am also planning to have updates on the major WIPs* posted before November, but that might or might not come about - depends on a lot of things really - but one thing I can say for sure is that the OFWI2 will be done. The Dark!Xander one? Might not be... I'm having zero inspiration for it but I'm not completely backing out of it because I may just be able to pull something out of the fact that I've changed my MP3 player to a lot rockier tunes. (Muse right now, there's some Stones on here, some 'Phonics, some LostProphets - you get the picture) and since music is usually a great trigger for me, we'll see. I guess if I actually set myself deadlines I could get some things done but then would be putting way too much pressure on myself and would rob this of its fun. Which I have once again found. So yay!

And I forgot the lesson I learned yesterday. This office is frelling cold and I am wearing short sleeves. It'll be on with the jacket soon then (and hope no one notices the lining showing through one of the seams... I really should fix that...)

*Final Straw, Crimson Regret, What a Difference a Day Makes, Close Encounters of the Tenth Kind and maaaaybe Destiny (Redux). Oh, and I was watching a lot of documentaries about Carthage at the weekend. Just, y'know, since I still owe that ficathon fic...

Those Carthage documentaries were pretty good. I do get concerned though that there seems to be a strand of Roman bashing going on in the program and in the Terry Jones stuff on them.

Seems to be along the lines of The romans were evil!!! Also they never had a original idea just stole it off ..... Insert ancient oppressed group here.

Interested in what you come up with for the ATS/SPN crossover. Not got round to watching that yet may be due to it being buried on ITV3 late at night.

I'd seen one of the documentaries before at some ungodly hour on a Sunday morning about a year ago so it was good to see them again while I was awake enough to actually take any of it in!

There was a lot of painting the Romans in a particularly bad light wasn't there?

SPN is definitely worth looking out for if they repeat the first season again (or the DVDs are out...) - I missed it when it was first on for one reason or another but it is easily one of the sharpest shows on air right now. The horror element is pretty high but the character flaws and the humour? Just spot on.

Did you catch the BBC mini staring Anthony siddig as Hannibal? Thought it could have been longer started well and then sort of jumped to the end.

On the Romans, definitely. Barbarians on C4 was also guilty of this. Although there have been some smashing Roman drama's over the years.

Will have to keep an eye out for the SPN Dvd's then. Was concerned in might be too dark . I found Millennium too dark compared to X-files. Like a at least some humour there. Good to hear there is some.

Great observation!
