Feeling a tad spammy.
(For reasons I may explain later)

So I'm going to do the meme that everyone else did last week! Yay!

Name a character and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal pseudo-canon.

(Fandoms: SPN, BtVS, AtS, Doctor Who (new series), Torchwood, Star Wars: EU, Serenifly (yeah I forgot it originally!) and I'll go ahead and throw in Dark Angel in here as well since I've been watching it a lot lately)
Current Mood: hungryhungry

Wesley was brought up by a succession of nannys, au paires and servants. When he was five he was sent to boarding school and his parents travelled on behalf of the Council and he spent the next ten years only seeing them at Christmas (and often not even that).

Wesley wanted to be a mechanic when he grew up, but since that wasn't an option for a Wyndham-Price boy he spent his later teens annoying his family by littering the dining room table with motorcycle engine parts.

When he was eight, Wesley and a schoolfriend went skating on a local pond. They got into a fight and Wes pushed the other boy onto the ice. The ice broke, the boy drowned. He has never told anyone about it.

My Wes is a bit of a tortured soul really isn't ?!

Logan "Eyes Only" Cale.
the girl who used to dance on fire and brimstonewhiskyinmind on May 22nd, 2007 09:39 am (UTC)
Ooo - see, now I come to think about it Logan is a bit like Wes!

Okay, in my fanon, Logan truly does believe that one man can change the world, but he doesn't think he's that man.

Logan is truly scared of the transgenics now that they have their own 'Freak Nation'. He's seen too many good people become corrupted by power to believe otherwise.

Logan knows what happened to Lydecker. One day, he might even tell Max about it.

John Winchester
the girl who used to dance on fire and brimstone: spn//jdm rock on - tinamishiwhiskyinmind on May 22nd, 2007 10:03 am (UTC)
Dude - I was hoping someone would ask about John!

John hates the life he's forced his boys into, but his proudest moment was when one and then the other of them asked if they could join him.

When Sam was at Stanford, John spent more nights in his car outside the dorm room than he did in any of the motels or rented houses he and Dean called home. Even if it meant driving all night to get there and back.

The first time he noticed another woman after Mary's death, John punished himself by getting so drunk he has no recollection of anything that happened that night. He woke up to find Dean cleaning the blood from his face and Sam holding the bowl of water. Since then he has been sober. No matter what Sam thought.

John would have made the deal to save either of his boys.

And finally - John is not gone for good.

Kudos for getting the spelling right! (did you look it up? *g*)

It's well known that Thrawn can judge a civilisation by the art it produces, what makes this all the more remarkable is that he was born blind and was only saved by a sympathetic nurse after his parents tried to disown him. His childhood was spent undergoing painful operations and eye corrections.

Thrawn is a con man of the highest sort. He is not as knowledgable as most people believe him to be, rather he lets those who encounter him fill in the blanks and knows how to play this to his advantage.

Thrawn is Force-sensitive, but learned from observince the Dathomiri Witches to bury this sensitivity.

Thrawn was on the verge of joining the Rebel Alliance when he and his ships were sent back to the Unknown Regions. When he returned again to Imperial space he saw his opportunity to create a new Empire which he viewed as far more equalitarian than the newly formed New Republic.

EU? Gotta go for Tenel Ka, the first fictional redhead I had a crush on. Even before Willow :P
the girl who used to dance on fire and brimstone: sw//geek - monkey_mattwhiskyinmind on May 22nd, 2007 11:43 am (UTC)
Ooo! *rubs hands together*

(keep in mind I haven't read the Dark Nest books yet, Troy Denning is most definitely not my favourite SW author)

Tenel Ka D'jo often wonders whether Jacen would have shown interest if it hadn't been for the lightsaber incident. She harbours doubts that his affection for her is based purely on residual guilt. She also wonders if she hasn't let herself be caught up in this relationship because it was an easy solution.

Tenel Ka knows that although she emulates her mother, her father's blood runs through her veins and she can't help but foresee the day she becomes the thing she fears most - a replica of Ta'a Chume.

Tenel Ka is feircly protective of others but continually puts herself at greater risk. She recognises this tendancy in herself but continues nonetheless. She does not fear death any longer, but she does fear grief.

I love Tenel Ka - she's kinda awesome!

the girl who used to dance on fire and brimstone: chris kane - faded_iconswhiskyinmind on May 22nd, 2007 12:31 pm (UTC)
Okay, I love Fred, keep that in mind because my fanon version of Fred is kinda broken!

By the time she was sixteen, Fred had been in a rehab clinic three times, she still considers herself to be an addict.

Although she is very close to her mum and dad, she has zero contact with her extended family and doesn't know that her cousin Theresa was turned into a vampire and used as bait to lure the vampire slayer into a fight. The vampire who turned her was Angelus.

Winnifred is the subject of more prophecies than any Slayer, and as a result has been observed from birth by all sides in the apocalyptic war. Her possession by Illyria was the only thing not foreseen.

Fanon fact #1 - Bobby is teh awesome!

Okay, seriously, Bobby doesn't trust American built cars as a rule but would rather die than let anyone know that.

The fight that drove him to threaten John Winchester with a loaded shotgun is one of the biggest regrets of his life, but he would do it exactly the same if he had another chance.

(this one is totally because of dodger_winslow) Bobby has a weakness for wounded animals - be they abused dogs who he can nurse back to health, or the sons of his friend.

*weeps because she has no Bobby for the win icon!*

okay, I'm going to go for someone bizarrely obscure just because (work sucks, my curiousity is piqued)

Lee Mercer from AtS, the 3rd Wolfram and Hart lawyer with the initials LM and the speaker of that most wonderful assassination quote.

*hopes is not being too awkward*
the girl who used to dance on fire and brimstone: chris kane - faded_iconswhiskyinmind on May 22nd, 2007 05:35 pm (UTC)
Ooo! And a guest at the first convention I ever went to! (I have a picture of me between him (Thomas Burr), Stephanie Romanov and Christian Kane. I kinda love that picture!

Lee had been passing information about Wolfram & Hart's most vile clients to a contact in the Watchers' Council since he started working for the company.

Lee plays up the misogynistic aspects of his personality to mask the fact that he is gay. This wouldn't normally be a problem within the confines of Wolfram & Hart except for the binding contract for the soul of his first born. Since that's not going to be an option...

Lee has a direct line to both TPTB and the Senior Partners, and had in fact been reporting on Holland Manners before he was killed. Post-mortem, he works solely for TPTB.

So Clem - go on what you got on that?

the girl who used to dance on fire and brimstone: b/x//chosen - emeraldswanwhiskyinmind on May 22nd, 2007 05:42 pm (UTC)
See, you think you're stumping me here but I have actually thought about this a little (for _end_of_days... Xander nicked Clem's car without realising it...)

Clem suffered a hearts attack (plural is intentional) and was told that he had to give up eating kittens. So he is now addicted to junk food and has lost six stone. He still misses that kitteny taste...

Given the chance, Clem would kill any of the new Slayers (including Buffy), but he's just waiting for the opportunity.

Clem has a crush on Spike. He suspects Spike knows but has yet to verify this.

I'm really surprised it took this long to get a Xander prompt! I suspect people were trying to stump me...

Now how to keep this to a manageable number of items...

My fanon Xander is the best friend you could have, and the worst enemy you could wish for. He would not only die for you, he would kill for you - which is a far rarer quality. He would also not think twice about killing if it was for the greater good.

Xander spent a lot of time as a teen questioning his sexuality. He now figures he's more or less straight but doesn't yet understand why so many gorgeous women throw themselves at him.

Xander still doesn't think he's worthy of the praise he sometimes gets and despite the clowning around is far happier in the shadows whilst someone else gets the spotlight.

My fanon Xander went to Africa (and I've actually yet to see anything in the comics that said he didn't - he could have returned from there by the time the comics are set?)

Xander regrets not saying goodbye to all of the friends he has lost over the years, so he makes a point of telling those people he lets close know how much he cares about them as often as possible.

Okay, I could seriously go on all night here so I'm going to call it quits on this one: Xander is ultimately a good guy but sometimes it pisses him off to always be expected to do the right thing.

*grins* why not?

Lilah has a sister fifteen years older than her who works for Medecins sans Frontiers, they do not get on.

Lilah rarely feels guilty about anything she does in the name of Wolfram & Hart, but she still feels the odd twinge for reporting a fellow student to the campus police for growing cannabis in his dorm room. Once he was expelled, she was able to graduate top of her year.

Lilah has no problem with the post-mortem continuation to her contract at the firm, she always wanted to live forever and knows this is the closest she will ever come to that.

My fanon Faith was not regularly abused as a child, she grew up in a trailer park but had a relatively happy and settled childhood.

Faith knew she was a Potential and had been in training for several years before she was 'called'. She was actually an average student, but found school boring and quit as soon as she was able, spending her time instead training with the woman who would become her Watcher, or in pool halls where she learned to hustle like a pro.

Faith is not afraid she will get herself killed, but she is afraid she will get others killed through bad choices. That's why she still keeps herself closed off from other people and puts on a brash front.

Go on then - Book. There's so much untold story there!
the girl who used to dance on fire and brimstone: serenity - bastardsnowwhiskyinmind on May 23rd, 2007 11:25 am (UTC)
Book was not only an Operative in his life before the Abbey, he was an instructor who trained others in the art of being an Operative. Including the man who ultimately got him killed.

Book originally joined his order under false pretences. He was tracking a known fugitive who had tried to take refuge within the Abbey but had somehow managed to disappear. He infiltrated the brotherhood and gradually became aware of his true calling. It was whilst there that he started to see the injustice of the galaxy and believed that by staying in the order he could go someway to healing the hurts of those trampled by the Alliance.

Book actually is a grandpa. His wife left him whilst pregnant with his son because she couldn't live with the moral ambiguity of being the wife of an Operative. His son grew up and bought a rundown ranch on Shadow from the Reynolds family, he now has two children of his own and a third on the way.
