Totally forgot to say...
I'll be in London tomorrow - work thing unfortunately, and I don't think I'll have a whole lot of time - but if anyone happens to be around Kings College tomorrow around 5pm I'd love to say hey! (I need to be back in Heathrow for a 7.20 flight though so it really will be just a hey)

i dearly hope i will be!! i mean i should be!! i mean i have work at the Royal Courts of Justice just over the road, but i'm not sure when it starts, is usually 4.30 or 5.30, but with the job i'm booked for it should be 5.30 but they always change. i should know in the morning anyway!! OMG seeing you... it might make up for today!!!! (*maybe a little excited*)
are you around earlier at all as well? do you have a lunch break or anything? coz i was planning to be in that neck of the woods most the day i think!
(i'm assuming Strand Campus of KCL? that's where things usually happen anyway. unless you're at the Maughan library, which is even nearer to the Royal Courts of Justice)

Dude - the thing I'm going to's in the Maughan Libary! How weird is that?

The thing's supposed to start at 12 and my flight gets into Heathrow at something like 10.15. Am I right in thinking the Express takes about an hour to get to Paddington? In that case I'll be in town for a little bit before it. (They're giving us lunch as part of it - joy)

LOL! Okay, so the express only takes 15 minutes so I will definitely be around before hand!

i'm fairly sure the express is supposed to take 15 mins (the express from gatwick takes 30mins and that's MUCH further), but how long it's supposed to take, and how long it actually takes is another matter... you should still get there early though, when you're on the train give me a text and i'll make sure i'm in central.. nearest tube to the maughan is Chancery Lane (or Temple, they're about equidistant) but i don't know where you'd like to go...

I have no idea why I thought it was an hour!

Excellent! (Especially since you know where the place is and I don't! *g*)

I would absolutely love to maybe take a look in Hamleys - maybe get something for youngest nephew's birthday if not for Christmas. Other than that - just seeing you again will be very cool!

hehe, Hamley's seems to be the fangirl meet-up place of choice, lol! hm, nearest tube stations are oxford circus and piccadilly circus.. neither famed for having few people... i think piccadilly is easier to find people at, how about... we meet... outside... the main entrance to... Virgin Megastores. or Zavvi or whatever it's called now. that's impossible not to find. so if you text me when you're on the train, i can go there and oggle the pretty until you get there... and i'll remember my hat for easy spottability! and then we can go to Hamley's :D

Excellent plan. I vaguely know the main streets around Oxfird St so I think I know where Virgin is (although they changed their name? Really? I'm so behind the times!)

(Oh! I'm not blonde any more - kinda brunette although it's getting lighter and more like my natural colour, and my hair's had a growth spurt and is about shoulder length so I look a little different than the icon now)

and quick - gimme a drabble prompt? Doesn't matter what fandom so long as I know it. I'm flailing on my daily fic today and the one I was going to do is refusing to get onto the page so I'll write it long hand on the plane/in the airport). Fandom, character, quote, lyric, whatever - help?

lol, i'm sure i'll still recognise you!!

and prompt:

David Nabbit of Angel fame... :D

(the other day i was thinking i should have asked him on that fanon meme)

Heh. I'll be arriving in Heathrow for the weekend pretty much just as you're getting on your plane!
