Mythology research help?
My beloved Encylopedia Mythica has let me down, and Wikipedia and Google aren't being a huge amount of help.

I'm doing some research for a fic that is part of a ficathon and therefore I can't tell you much about, but does anyone have favourite sites for researching mythology and the roots of rural/urban myths? (Western mythologies would be better, but worldwide works too!)

*bats eyelashes*

Oh - still three fandoms to guess - Pushing Daisies, it's not Chuck, Digby or Ned. Battlestar Galactica, it's not Boomer. Serenifly, it's not Mal, Simon, Jayne, Wash or Kaylee.

Depends on the kind of mythology you're looking for. When I wrote Behold Little Padawan, I relied heavily on the Snopes: Urban Legends Reference Pages for various urban legends.

They're also pretty good about providing links in their difference answers, so you can probably dig up quite a few just by visiting the links.

A searchable edition of Bulfinch's Mythology (Greek and Roman only) is available online.

Also...not meaning to cut in with a non-sequitor, but I what's going on with the I Need a Parrot schedule? I never got your email if you sent one out.

Awesome - thanks you! (Both sites will help I'm sure!)

I haven't actually done anything with the INaP schedule as yet which is why there's been no emails. I was waiting to hear from the others first - not heard from Nemo as yet, and he seems to have vanished again, so I think we'll go with the three of us again? I'll email you tomorrow (I'm not online at home anymore as of today so it'll need to be during breaks at work I'm afraid!)

Randomly, remember Steve's awesome Chucks that we were admiring last summer? I just price-checked them. Dude, they're $100!!! (says the girl who's never knowinlgy spent more than £40 on a pair of shoes...)
