*eyelids droopy*
You know what I've decided? I love authors who convert their longer fics to PDF or .rtf format so that one can download them.

When I ever get around to finishing one of my WIPs I will definitely be doing that.

*goes off to do the copy/paste thing some more*

(almost didn't get onto the computer - apparently there's a two hour limit per day in here, I thought it was per session but apparently not. The chief librarian knows me though and said it would be okay - after all, I'm in here every bloody day it's open!)

Hmmm...that sounds like an interesting idea.

It's a life saver for people like me who aren't online all the time. The good thing about the efiction script that you use on your site is that the little printer icon opens up a saveable format without the banner graphics.

Really? Cool!

I only did PDF conversion twice (see one of them here). It was pretty quick and easy, though -- took less time than posting the HTML manually to another website, which is always my big bugaboo. (I'm always sitting there after I post new fic wishing I could just push one button and duplicate the LJ entry somewhere else.)

But yeah, it's worth the effort. I've never been much for style over substance, but it's amazing how...well, beautiful fic can look in PDF. Even my trite crap :)

Definitely worth it!

That's a great idea. I like to keep fics on my hard drive (for cases of no internet) and it's good to not have 50 files per fic.

Also, I friended you, hope that's okay :-)
